Achi Shrine

The main deities are Achishinomi-no-Mikoto, the chief deity, and his descendant Tagori-hime-no-Mikoto. From the shrine grounds, visitors can enjoy a beautiful view of the Kurashiki cityscape. The shrine pavilion was rebuilt in the Edo period (1603-1868) and is decorated with magnificent carvings and ornaments. In spring, cherry blossoms are in full bloom, attracting many worshippers.
